Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a program that helps people manage stress, anxiety, depression, and pain using mindfulness meditation. Developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn in the 1970s, MBSR teaches participants to be fully present in the moment and to observe their thoughts and feelings without judgment. The program typically includes guided meditations, yoga, and group discussions. It has been widely researched and shown to be effective in reducing symptoms of various psychological and physical conditions.
